The Need for Privacy

Some folks are totally open about their participation in the Lifestyle. They want to know what rings or jewelry they can wear to signal to other swingers. They are happy to wear a t-shirt with a giant upside-down pineapple. They don't care who knows. They have no fears.

Some people have good reasons to keep their lifestyle habits private. Their conservative family or church community might disown them. They might get fired. If they are active military personnel, they might have to contend with a dishonorable discharge.

Many of us are somewhere in between. We don't want the whole world to know, so we keep it away from our parents and maybe siblings. We would be embarrassed to have our larger community privy to our activities, but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

How Does CNM4US Keep Your Data Safe?

Verified Members

For verified members, your ID verification is likely your safest data. 

CNM4US uses Veriff as our third-party enterprise-quality ID verification service. Your data goes directly to Veriff; it is encrypted "at rest" and "in transit" and is not sent to or stored on this website. Verification is Veriff's business model, and keeping your data secure is foundational to their revenue stream. 

Photos

CNM4US stores and distributes photos using AWS S3 and Cloudfront. We have configured Cloudfront only to serve photos to the cnm4us.com domain name, which prevents hotlinking by unscrupulous websites. 

Videos

CNM4US uses Mux to transcode and serve videos. Your videos are only distributed on CNM4US; nobody can see them on Mux. 

We watermark all uploaded videos with the CNM4US logo to discourage others from republishing your videos.

General Public Restrictions

The public cannot see the Photos or Videos section or your Member Profile.

The public can see your profile avatar and member name. But if a non-logged-in user clicks on your avatar or member name, they are taken to a registration page—not your profile page.

Also, Unverified Members cannot view profile pages.

Members Map

The Members Map relies on your postal code. Members can only find you if you enter a postal code into your profile.

Non-logged-in users cannot see the Members Map. They can search by member name but not click through to a profile page.

Every profile has a Privacy Setting: Who can see my Location? 

You can set this to Community, Friends, or No One. Even if you've entered a postal code into our profile, people can only find you on the map if you configured this privacy setting to allow them to find you. 

Photo and Video Policy Guidelines

CNM4US is a site for erotic socializing--not pornography. Photos and videos are allowed to be completely nude and erotic.

However, CNM4US does not allow sexually explicit photos or videos. See our Community Guidelines for a fuller explanation.

As a result, none of the photos or videos on this site qualify as sexually explicit.

That means that hackers will be less interested in the content here. They won't be able to sell it to unscrupulous porn sites. It has little extortion potential.

Best Practices

If you are very concerned about your privacy, we recommend the following. 

Separate your photos

If you want to share nude photos, share photos without showing your face, any identifying tattoos, or scars. Keep another group of photos that show your faces but are G-rated. 

Private Photo Sharing

You can configure a photo album so that it is only accessible to a list of members you specified.

Members Map

People from very small towns sometimes use a postal code different from their own but nearby. You can share your exact location with members you connect with.

Badges

Some badges require you to submit photos with both of you in the photo and a sign--like "We both have permission to play solo."

We recommend that members keep those available as a confirmation of their badge that other members can see. You can make those photos temporarily available to Admin for those badges.

You can also schedule a video visit with ThisKindaGirl, Rosie Kay. On the same video call, Rosie Kay can award several badges, circumventing the need to submit any face photos at all.
