Over recent years, the swinger lifestyle has exploded in popularity here in the UK. The UK’s diverse swinging community includes people of various ages, backgrounds, and relationship statuses. Couples, singles, and people of different sexual orientations participate.

Did you know that 1.5 million Brits are swingers? There are reported to be over 150 swingers clubs here in the UK, but how do you go about meeting one of these sexually liberated adults or visiting one of these elusive venues?

You might be interested to know that I, your trusty swinger lifetsyle guru, have for you, in this article, Swinging In The UK, an absolute shedload of insights, hints and top tips. If you are interested in the swinger lifestyle scene here in the UK, look no further.

Numerous swinger clubs exist across the UK, particularly in major cities like London, Manchester, and Birmingham. They offer a safe and controlled environment for swinging activities. The UK boasts a wide variety of clubs, ranging from high-end, exclusive venues to more casual, inclusive spaces. Clubs may feature facilities like dance floors, private rooms, and jacuzzis and offer themed events.

15 of the Top Swinger Clubs In The UK.

Le Boudiour is a long-established club that I have visited on many occasions. It is the UK’s premier members-only lifestyle club. Spread over three floors, Le Boudiour hosts 150-plus parties every year! The club welcomes couples and single people, but membership is a must! The sumptuous club features private, group, and themed playrooms and a fully licensed cocktail bar.

Purple Mamba– This is the Midlands premium lifestyle club, and whilst it may be smaller than other clubs, Purple Mamba is one of the best swingers clubs here in the UK (or so I believe!). The club is cosy, atmospheric and personal. The owners are on first-name terms with many members and have events every week, all year round! The club accepts memberships for couples and singles, but if you are a single man, you must meet with the owners for a club tour before membership is granted.

Townhouse Wirral– Offer a no-pressure environment for guests to explore their sexual fantasies and broaden their horizons. The Townhouse is not just a swinging club, however, and seems to cater for everyone’s needs with varied, inclusive events. Townhouse have many LGBTQ+ members as well as thousands of people from the Fetish/BDSM community; in total, they have over 25000 members! The Townhouse is a busy club and holds several events a week. The club is vast- spread over four floors, from dungeons to hot tubs- Townhouse has it all!

Cupids—Cupids is a long-established swingers club that has been open for over 30 years! Unlike other clubs, it operates a dress-down policy—meaning as soon as you arrive, you have to ‘dress down’ to lingerie, a towel, or underwear. The Manchester-based club is open seven nights a week and accepts couples, single men, and single women through the door!

Within Temptation– A swingers club at the seaside? Yes really! Within Temptation is found in the popular holiday destination of Torquay. Everyone is welcome, no matter of age, sexual orientation or sexual experience. The club is vast and has many different facilities available, such as a heated indoor pool, sauna, private playrooms, glory holes and BDSM dungeon. The club can also offer disabled guests full access to the lower grounds- something rarely found in swingers clubs.

Adam and Eve’s is another busy and popular club located in Manchester. The club prides itself on being open to all. It works hard to create a diverse and alternative lifestyle environment for like-minded adults. Adam and Eve’s is open seven days a week and hosts a variety of swing and kink-themed events. In addition to being a swinger club, Adam and Eve’s is also a licensed sports bar.

The VA is a private members’ lifestyle club located between Bedford and Cambridge. As well as having excellent facilities, including orgy rooms, private playrooms, a giant hot tub and a large, well-stocked bar, they also have accommodation, so the party doesn’t have to end with the club closes! The club mainly caters to couples and single ladies, but they also have events that single men can attend. Membership is required to visit The VA, and you will be expected to adhere to the dress code policy.

The Penthouse Playrooms -Dunstable, Bedfordshire, is another club just outside London. The club is one of the biggest I have visited, with 12 communal play areas, eight lockable private playrooms, an open playroom with voyeur mirrors, and a couples-only playroom lounge. All guests are required to create an online membership before attending the club. The club hosts events 3-4 nights a week, and a calendar of events can be found on the website home page. They accept memberships for couples and singles, but single men might have to jump through a few hoops to be granted tickets to parties.

The Playgrounds -Established over nine years ago by lifestylers for lifestylers, the playrounds ‘Lifestyle Lodge’ is now located in South Derbyshire. Unlike other swinger events in the UK, the playground is not a swingers club; instead, it is a large house party. The team behind the playgrounds aims to host parties with a relaxed atmosphere where guests feel safe and secure and can be who they want to be without being judged. The Playgrounds parties are especially popular with bisexual couples and members of the trans community.

AbFab Heathrow London– AbFab boasts on its website that they are the largest club in the UK and that the daytime naturist spa is the largest adult-only naturist venue in the country. The venue is strictly for people over 25 years old, and you must make a membership. They do accept single gents on certain nights, and if you are a single man wanting to attend, you have to pre-book a ticket online. Due to its location and extensive opening hours, AbFab is popular with UK Swingers and visitors on holiday in the UK.

Swindon Swingers Club– offers guests a ‘simpler way to swing’. Unlike many other clubs in the UK, Swindon Swingers Club don’t require you to make a membership- if you like the club, simply return. Most events are held on Saturday nights, and the website has lots of information about each event, including FAQs and requirements. There are some events where guests are required to join the group on the Fab Swingers Website before attending, so don’t just turn up on the off chance!

Pleasures In Kent– another venue in the South of the UK, with parties being held on Friday and Saturday nights. The venue isn’t a club as such, but more a private house turned swingers party venue. As well as themed rooms and play areas, Pleasures in Kent also offers guests the opportunity to stay as they have accommodation available. They accept couples, single men and single women, through the door. The website features many useful FAQs and gives a detailed map of how to find the venue.

Eureka– Eureka is another Naturist Spa Come Swingers club located in Kent. Open seven days a week, Eureka welcomes guests with extensive facilities, including an outdoor heated swimming pool (during the summer), two 8-person jacuzzis, a sauna and a steam room. To enjoy a visit to Eureka, you must become a club member and be over 21. They also offer accommodation and have camping facilities. The website lists events on its calendar and also gives further information about membership tiers and entry prices for couples and singles.

Chameleons -Located in Darlaston in the Midlands, Chameleons prides itself on ‘providing an environment for like-minded people who enjoy the excitement the swinger lifestyle has to offer’. The club is open seven days a week to couples, single men and single women, but single guys are expected to enquire about membership in person at the club midweek. Weekend events are strictly for couples and single women. Chameleons also has a branch in Newport, South Wales.

Xtasia-West Bromich- Established in the 1980s, Xtasia is the UK’s longest-established swingers club. It is both a swingers and Fetish club and has Spa facilities and accommodation. All guests are required to submit a membership, and memberships for single males are at the discretion of the management. The website has an extensive calendar of events as well as details about the club’s facilities and what to expect.

Is Swinging in the UK Suitable for Newbies?

  • Research and Preparation: Newcomers should research clubs, events, and online communities to find the best fit for their preferences and comfort levels. It’s important to remember that you do not have to participate in any activity if you do not feel comfortable or want to! Any reputable club will understand this and be welcoming of newbies.
  • Clear Boundaries: Establishing and communicating boundaries with partners and potential playmates is crucial. Again, if you wish to avoid getting involved or only want to be intimate within your existing relationship, don’t be afraid to speak up!
  • Health and Safety: Practicing safe sex and understanding the health risks involved is essential. Many clubs provide condoms and emphasize hygiene. Most clubs offer condoms, but it’s always best to take more with you; find out more about what to take to a swingers club.
  • Open Communication: Successful swinging relies on honest and open communication between all parties, especially primary partners. After visiting a club, be sure to reconnect afterwards and discuss what you did and did not enjoy. This will help you better understand what events to attend in the future.

Swinging in the UK offers a range of experiences depending on personal preferences and location. It’s a community built on respect, consent, and mutual enjoyment, providing a safe space for exploring alternative sexual and relationship dynamics.
