User Verification

CNM4US is joining the ranks of sites offering user verification.

  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn
  • Twitter
  • Match.com
  • And many other dating sites (Bumble, Tinder, Hinge, etc.)

Is it Required?

No. It is not required. However, Verified Members have access to many more features than Unverified Members.

What Can Verified Members Do That Unverified Members Can't?

  • Upload Photos or Videos
  • Mange Groups or Pages

Additionally, all members have the following Privacy Settings

  • Can Unverified Members view my profile?
  • Can Unverified Members message me?

How do I get Verified?

When you register, select one of the Membership Packages labeled as Verified. If you are already registered, go to Profile -> Membership and choose one of the Membership Packages labeled Verified.

Veriff will guide you through using your mobile phone to take a photo of your I.D. Don't worry if you are on your desktop computer. Veriff uses a QR Code to hand-off the process to your mobile phone.

Veriff will ask you for one of the following:

  1. Driver's License
  2. State ID
  3. Resident Permit
  4. Passport

Verification Steps

When you choose one of the Verified Member packages, you elect to go through the verification process.

  1. Registration
  2. Email Verification (check your spam folder for the email verification link)
  3. Log in with your email address and password.
  4. Veriff Lock Screen

At this point, your account is locked to the Veriff screen. Once you complete the verification process, which usually only takes a few minutes, you can use your account on CNM4US.

  1. Enter your name: This doesn't have to match your I.D.
  2. Click the Get Verified button.
  3. If you are on your desktop computer, you will see a QR code.
  4. Scanning the QR Code will transfer the process to your mobile phone.
  5. Click the Lets Go button when you are ready.
  6. Follow the directions on your phone to...
  7. Take a picture of the front of your ID
  8. Scan the back of your ID
  9. Take a selfie.

When Veriff completes the verification process, your desktop computer will also indicate the process is complete.

The whole process usually takes about 2 minutes. Then, you can use your new CNM4US Verified account.

Get your Little Blue Checkmark

It only takes a couple of minutes. We don't store your data on our website.

Immediately upon completion, a little blue checkmark will appear by your name.

Who is Veriff

Veriff is an online identity verification company that protects businesses and their customers from online identity fraud. It is an automated identity verification platform connecting companies with honest customers.

Veriff is headquartered in the E.U. and stores all of its data in AWS in Ireland, which is regulated by the E.U.'s GDPR—the strongest privacy legislation on the planet.

Veriff's primary investment partner is Institutional Venture Partners (IVP). IVP has invested in over 130 IPOs, including Discord, Slack, Grammarly, etc.

The Value of Verification

All anonymous sex dating sites have problems with the following unsavory characters and predators.

  1. Child Pornographers
  2. Sex Traffickers
  3. People who post revenge porn
  4. Fake Profiles to harvest user data
  5. Catfishers—people pretending to be someone they are not.

These people thrive in anonymous environments, and they will avoid sites that require Verification. I don't want such people as members of this site. I'm sure that you don't either, right?

Your Identity is Safe

CNM4US does not store your verification documents on the website.

Your data is submitted to Veriff, our Enterprise Verification Partner. Veriff encrypts it " at rest" and "in transit."

Because Veriff stores your data on AWS in Ireland, it is subject to the E.U.'s GDPR—the strongest privacy legislation on the planet.

CNM4US would only access a member's data at Veriff in the case that a member of this site was engaged in 1) sex trafficking, 2) sexual exploitation of minors, and 3) revenge porn.

Your privacy is our number one priority and your trust in us to maintain your privacy is foundational to our business model.

TLDR; More Background on the need for Verification

Why we require Verification for Full Privilege Accounts

The short answer is that the credit card companies, led by MasterCard, are requiring it.

The long answer is two fold.

  1. Congrerss Passes SESTA/FOSTA acts April 11, 2018
    • SESTA: Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act
    • FOSTA: Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act
  2. In 2020, Pornhub got busted for profiting from sexual abuse of minors and rape.

The Credit Card companies (and legitimate businesses, and decent human beings) do not want their brands associated with any of the following:

  1. Sexual abuse of minors
  2. Coerced Sex (rape)
  3. Revenge Porn (posting nude or sexually explicit photos of people without their permission).

Craigslist used to have a personals section. It's feature set was very basic. It was full of spam and scammers. But it was free. Due to these rule changes, Craigslist decided to shut down their Personals section. Without a revenue stream from their Personals, Craigslist couldn't afford to comply with the rules changes.

New companies, such as CNM4US, will be required to comply with these new rules out of the gate. Previously established companies, now operating under old rules, will gradually be brought into compliance. You might think, "Hey, this other swinger site I saw doesn't require this." And, you'd be right. They were established under a different set of rules. The credit card companies don't want to pull the rug out from under them. It takes time to change your business model. But change is coming to all such sites.

Controversy Over SESTA/FOSTA Laws

Everyone agrees we need to do something about sex trafficking. However, many people are voicing concerns about the conflation of sex trafficking with voluntary sex work. Many sex workers have come to rely upon the internet to facilitare their independent, entrepeneurial business, and to screen clients. Many sex workers have said that these laws are just moving sex work offline and back onto the streets where it is more dangerous.

We believe that sex work is work. However, we do not permit solicitation for sex work on this site. Besides it being illegal, it would also result in our payment processor refusing to process our payments. Additionally, we don't have the time or resources to screen people to see who is a legitimate self-employed and voluntary sex worker and who is being sex trafficked.

Many well intentioned people have backed these laws. However, there are clearly some unintended and harmful consequences.
